I have always loved Maya Angelou’s poem, Phenomenal Woman. It often makes me think about all the amazing women in my life. One of the most phenomenal woman I have ever knew was my grandmother. She had the kindest heart and I’ll always remember her for the way she lived life, how she raised her family and how she grew her business from nothing.

She was the first woman to start an architecture & development firm in her city. She never took a “no” for an answer and was always brave on taking any challenges. From being raised in a very small town with very limited income to become a woman who accomplished great things. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, friend, wife, and also a very successful business woman.

I always think about her especially in rainy days like this. By the way, I’m about to be catching up with Queen of the South which premiered Thursday June 8 10/9c on USA Network.

The main character, Teresa Mendoza, is also a phenomenal woman 🙂 She has courage, strength, and power, and I think we all need a little of that at some point in our lives. Also, one of the traits I admire the most in her is the fact that she believes in herself. If we believe, we are already half way there. Aren’t we? So, really series like this serve for inspiration of what it is to be faced with obstacles and succeed. Not only, did Teresa believes in herself, but she also believes in love, and that’s very important. We too should always always always believe in love.

Let’s keep getting inspired…
