CARTAGENA TRAVEL DIARIES

Hi loves, as some of you know, I was recently in Cartagena for a little more than a week. According to Lonely Planet, Cartagena de Indias is the queen of the Caribbean coast, a fairy-tale city of romance, legends and superbly preserved beauty lying within an impressive 13km of centuries-old colonial stone walls. During my stay, I was so blessed to stay, eat, and wander within the historic center of this magical city.

WHERE TO STAY

Centro Hotel Cartagena

I loved that it is within the walled city, in the middle of everything you want to see. I love palm trees so it was awesome to have breakfast looking at them. My room had a private balcony from where I could watch horse carriages, it was priceless. During my stay it was coolΒ to use the hotel’s concierge app to help me find restaurants, things to do, and more. Hope these pictures give you a little idea of my stay…

Bacco Trattoria

Everything at Bacco was delicious. It was Passover, so I could not try any pastas or pizzas which gave me another reason to be back to Cartagena so soon…The Melanzanne a la Parmigiana was excellent, thankful for such a sweet treat!!! πŸ˜‰

Club de Pesca

The magic of the restaurant Club de Pesca is as amazing as Cartagena itself. The food, the ambiance, the location is simply breathtaking. I was here on a Friday night, they had live music and the magic experienced at this place was beyond words…I highly recommended! On my way to the restaurant I asked my Uber driver to please stop for a minute to capture this sunset for you guys πŸ™‚
